Designer Lapis Lazuli Rings
Ever since Designer exploded on the world of designer jewelry back in 1976 he has expanding his product line with ever growing choices in a wide range of diverse creations including of course rings. One very popular style of rings that he features is his Designer lapis lazuli rings, which come in a wide range of styles to choose from.
The name “lapis lazuli” comes from its ancient origins and in fact is a combination of derivatives. “Lapis” means “stone” in Latin while the “lazuli” part of the name is derived form the area of ancient Persia where the stone was originally mined.
Just as with any other precious or semi precious stones and gems, there are varying grades of quality in them and knowing how to differentiate between them all is of course very important. The highest grade of gem quality lapis lazuli will have streaks or flecks of gold colored iron pyrite visible in it.
Lapis lazuli can also have streaks or flecks of white in it but the more white there is in a stone the less desirable the stone is. The best quality of lapis lazuli is found in Afghanistan but it is also mined in other areas around the globe as well, including Colorado and California.
There is much ancient lore that surrounds the stone and how it was used by the first people that mined it. For instance, the ancient Romans wore the stone as jewelry but also used it as an aphrodisiac. The stone was also used in a powdered form to treat skin infections by various people during medieval times.
While lapis lazuli is a a beautiful blue stone with gold toned highlight flecks, it is rather soft in comparison to most other gemstones, so some degree of care should be taken when wearing it. Also, excessive sunlight can have a negative effect on the quality of the stone over a period of time.

A Summary of the Designer Jewelry Collection
It was back in the late nineteen-seventies that world was first introduced to the the jewelry designs and creations of Designer.
Back then it was his uniquely designed coiled cable bracelet that caught the publics eye and ever since that time Designer has been busy coming up with jewelry designs to satisfy a public that continues to clamor for his work.
The fact is, that as it stands right now Designer has uniquely designed creations that feature his trade mark look no matter what you are in the market for. This is because over the past two and a half decades Designer has been busy in his design studios coming up with a whole series of collections that he has brought out year after year, so it is simply impossible to list all that is currently available in one short article.
However; many do carry unique quality's that one might find noteworthy. For instance his collection of dog tags are well worth taking a look at for a number of reasons. Who would have dared to dream that an item first designed to be worn on the bodies by solders for quick and easy identification if they were wounded or killed could be turned into a high fashion item.
Designer not only made it work but his dog tags are beautiful to behold and they are even available for women. Designer's petrified red dinosaur bone dog tags are truly special and the unique pattern in the polished stone holds a story that has remained hidden for millions of years ineach and every piece.
The woven look is featured in the Designer X collection and if you havn't seen woven gold yet you are in for a big surprise when you do. Your eyes can't help but be drawn to it like magnets and the way that the woven pattern in the gold piece brings a softness to its overall look in spite of it's being made of metal is truly amazing.
Of course Designer features an endless choice in design styles in rings for both men and women from the various collections that he has introduced over the years and many of them feature the cable motif that is a staple of Designer designs.
The amazing thing about Designer jewelry as a whole, is that there is such a wide range of prices to choose from when making a jewelry selection. This doesn't mean that a person has to settle for a simple stick pin if they don't have a whole lot of money to spend either.
This is because, Designer has experimented in virtually all types of metals, precious and semi precious stones and knows how to bring out the best in whatever it is that he is working with. So no matter if you have a hundred or a thousand dollars to spend on a ring, bracelet or necklace you will have no trouble finding just what you are looking for and won't have to compromise an inch on quality or integrity.
